The focus or emphasis of this workshop is on problem identification and definition, the importance of identifying the actual root cause to achieve more effective problem resolution, problem solving process steps, decision-making models (e.g., the SWOT Analysis, the 5 Whys Methods, the Cost-Benefit Analysis, and Decision Tree), how to use these tools to make informed decisions, and the benefits and drawbacks of each.
Awareness of potential decision-maker biases, which if not controlled properly can have a negative influence on both the individual and the business. And the significance of having the appropriate mentality, knowledge, and competency in their skill development path.
This includes defining problems, determining root causes, and developing viable and realistic solutions for more effective problem resolution. This program will also introduce attendees to three problem-solving and decision-making tools: SWOT analysis, decision trees, and cost-benefit analysis. Encourages the use of decision-making frameworks to make informed decisions, emphasizes the need of analytical or critical thinking abilities for better problem analysis and conclusion, and develops and increases self-awareness of decision-making styles.
